There was a family of 2 brothers and 2 sisters abandoned in a Catholic orphanange/convent in Missouri about 1912. It is our understanding that the girls remained there, inmates of the convent, and the boys were taken elsewhere under the same auspices.

The oldest ancester whose name we have is George Washington Johnson, theoretically born in Indiana about 1845, married to Louisa Boyd about 1887 in Indiana. Ring any bells for any of the good researchers out there? I qualify as pretty much a novice.
