Searching for parents and siblings of Robert Burton (b. 1808) who married Jane L. Agee (b. 1814). When and where is not known but believe that first child, William Jefferson Burton, was born in White County in 1834. Census states that Robert was born in North Carolina; his first four children were born in TN; the next 3 were born in Mississippi; and the last 4 were born in Drew County, Arkansas, where they settled. I have hit the "brick wall". I also share the Crook surname with many others: Wiley (Wylie) Crook who married Ruth Belle Hyatt is my 2nd-great-grandfather who also settled in Drew County, AR. I am a retired teacher and the mother of two and the grandmother of five. I enjoy genealogy and have made many new friends. I also like to help others with local search problems if I can.
