She was married to maybe a Scottish trapper named Gordon last name? She was I was told Cherokee, but it may have been Osage prior to the trail of tears where I am told she and her husband traveled to Oklahoma. My mother said his first name maybe been john but no one is sure. We have a picture of sitting bull which they are sure is her name. She is I'm told a great grandmother who maybe been the mother of my grand.other's mother. Those names Re I think whorley

mary wade georgia was my grandmother. wade was a married name. her mother was a ball and it is believed her name was also mary. I was told that mary ball's mother was a cherokee named sitting bull. theres not a lot more known. any help learning more about mrs ball's mother would
help. all I have is a very old early black and white photo...probably taken with one of the very first cameras of a native american woman standing in a long dress in tall grasses outside a wood house and her name. I know she wound up in oklahoma, was married to a gordon but otherwise that story is a blank one for me. so any news would help write her chapter for me.
