Relatives of Mary LEE (nee WALSH) 1821-1909 , daughter Evelyn LEE, son John Benjamin Stedham LEE (d 1881) and Charles LEE

Mary WALSH, born at Kilknock Estate, county Monaghan, Ireland on 14 February 1921. Father was John WALSH (Master of the Orange Lodge), mother UNKNOWN. Mary married in 1844 supposedly to a George LEE(?) and was supposed to have had 7 children? Her obituaries say he was ?organist and vicar choral at Armagh Cathedral' in Ireland. However letters from the Dean of Armagh state that the records show no ?George' but only a ?James Lee'. James was however the father of Mary's nephew, David Lee , Town Hall organist for many years in Melbourne, making James Mary's brother-in-law.

She migrated to Adelaide Australia in 1979 with her daughter Evelyn (19yrs). A son (John Benjamin Stedham) was already living here but died in 1881 and another known son Charles lived in Liverpool, UK. No other children so far, have been found.

I do know by Death Announcements in the Adelaide papers that my Grandfather Alfred M Poland placed a Death Notice in the daily paper after Evelyn died and he stated that she was his aunt. My Great Grandfather ? Poland married a Lily Lee in the UK in the 1800s. Evelyn was in her 77th year when she died,.

I have all the history I can find, in the South Australian Historical and Public Library items but need to find someone who is a relative mainly from Ireland or maybe Liverpool where Charles may have ended up living.

JAMES LEE (organist in Armagh in 1800s) & DAVID LEE, his son (Town Hall organist in Melbourne Aust for many years)

Im trying to find information about James Lee who was an Organist in Armagh in the 1800s and also his son who migrated to Australia and was also organist but in the Town Hall in Melbourne for many years. There is a connection between them (and maybe other children from that family) to a Mary Lee (born Mary Walsh - father John Walsh, on 14 Feb 1821 in Monaghan) who married a Lee and then as a widow she came to Australia in 1879 with one of her children Yvonne (19yrs old). There were 2 other children that are known of (its said she had 7 children in total???) - Ben (John Benjamin Stedham LEE - came to Australia before them) and a Charles who was last listed living in Liverpool.

Anyone who can help, I thank you.

Susan

As the records for Ireland were mostly lost in a huge fire, nothing can really be found about these people.

CHALMERS FAMILY FROM TAYPORT FIFE - Looking mainly for Kyra Chalmers

I am trying to find a distant cousin Kyra Chalmers or any of her family that lived in Tayport Fife, Scotland in the 60s and maybe 70s. I had contact with her through our mutual Great Auntie Mary from Australia. I am trying to fit in where the Chalmers came in my family tree.
I can be contacted through soowoo3333@hotmail.com.
