I am looking for help in filling in some big Gaps of My Great Grandfather Fred Gartland life. Fred (or Frederick) was born in the Workhouse in Halifax UK on the 19th April 1890, his mothers name was Eliza Gartland (Father unknown).
Eliza Family is as follows:
Her father was John Gartland who is believed to have been born around the 1833 to 1838 in Drogheda Ireland. In the 1871 census I find him in Stalybridge Lancashire UK married to a Theresa but unfortunately I can not find him anywhere before this date or anywhere after 1891. His children are Eliza Born 1872 Lancashire, Matthew Born 1874, Tom Born 1876, Mary Anne(annie) Born 1878, Fanny & Helen (or Ellen) Born 1881, Alice & Kate Born 1883, Sarah Born 1884, John Born 1886 all in Halifax.

It is our belief that Eliza Gartland married an Ernest Lawton not long after having Fred and in the 1901 census we have found Ernest and Eliza living in 266 Hanson Lane Pellon Halifax with Fred aged 10, His Uncle Tom Gartland and Uncle Mathew Gartland and his step brothers and sisters Winifred Born c 1900, Edward Born c1898, Elisa Born c1895.
In apprx 1942 he left home one day and never returned to the Family, his Wife Dora Gartland (maiden name Allinson) and his children Selwyn and Elga Moved to Australia and his daughter Sheila (who married Paul Todd) moved to New Zealand.
Just before his death 9th October 1974 Fred (Frederick) lived in 220 Arlington Road, Arlington House Camden.
Our Challenge has come in
1 Tracking down what life Fred lived between 1942 to 1974
2 Any information on Eliza Family especially her Father John Gartland from Ireland
3 Any information after 1901 of Ernest and Eliza and there children Winifred, Edward and Elisa
Any information, no matter how little or large, would be accepted with great gratitude.

Hi can anyone help me with tracing as much information that I can get on a John H Waterhouse?
He was born in 1831 in Middlesex but Moved to Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield.
He had a Doctor of Medicine from The University Of St Andrews and From the 1861 (address 32, London Road, Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield) and 1871 (Same address as 1861) Census I have found that he was a General Practitioner in the area of Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield. He was married to a Lucy (Maiden Name ? Frith)
Any information on him personnel, his family, his Surgery etc etc etc would be accepted with great gratitude.
