Researching the relations of WILLIAM MATCHETT who was born in 1800 in Cavan Co. Northern, Ireland. He came to Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada as a stow away at the age of 15. William died on November 6, 1875 in North ESK, Miramichi, N.B. Canada.

SPRINGER/SPRENGER is the other name I am researching. My ggreat-grandfather's real name was JOANNES BAPTISTA SPRENGERS and came fro Antwerp, Belgium as a stow away at the age of 19. He wa born in 1950. He changed his name when he arrived in Chatham, New Brunswick, Canada to JOHN SPRINGER.
