I met a really nice boy.We became friends.
He asked me out,but I didn't tell him "yes" right away.
The next day I said "Yes!"
I met him at the movies. It was kindof like a blind date.
His friend & his friend's girlfriend were there too.
So it was a double-blind-date. :)
He was just as nice in person(if not nicer) than
he was when we talked on the phone.
We met in person on April Fool's Day in 2007.
Two days later the tornado happened.
I thought he died when it destroyed
all of the houses around his.
His was the only one with just a little damage.
As soon as I heard about the tornado,
I looked up his address in my notebook & sure enough
that was where he lived.
I was in shock. I couldn't believe that the first boy
that ever liked me when I was just being myself was gone.
I prayed with everything in me that he was somehow okay.
Since I was crying & having trouble breathing,
I had my mother to call his cell phone to see if he
was okay.
Those 10 seconds meant the absolute world to me.
He answered. And my mom gave me the phone.
I asked him if he was okay and he asked me if I was!
He just lived through a tornado and he was worried
if I was okay or not. He was kindof nervous.
We talked for about 5 minutes and I guess the tornado
put everything in perspective for both of us.
He said,"Okay, my nerves are already shot, so um,
will you go out with me?"
Because I had a friend that had feelings for him,
I told him "maybe". Telling him that hurt me for some
reason. The next day I told him yeah.
The following Sunday after April Fool's we had our
first date as a couple(not friends).
And yes my parents and little brother came too.
He gave me my 1st kiss(ever) in a Wal*Mart parking lot.
Three months later he came up to my house in the middle
of the night,knocked on my window & motioned for me
to come outside. Of course my hair was a mess and I had
no makeup on...I looked like I'd just woke up. :)
He asked me to marry him under the little dogwood tree
below my window, and I said "Yes".
We're getting married in October 2008.


The night that I thought he was gone, made me realize
that life is like a candle's flame-one little puff and
it's gone. So I decided to "LIVE" my life while I still
had it. To make every day better than the one before,
just because it could be my last.
And I promised myself that I would never regret anything
that I did from that moment on.

have love in you life. If love hasn't been found yet-
when you find it don't ever let it go.
