Vickers Family Tree

Journal by mnvickers

My name is Mark Vickers and I am currently trying to trace the Vickers family tree. Info I have so far. The family are from the Reading (1850s to 1900s) and then later moved to the Dartford area. Im back 6 generations from myself and Joel Vickers and Sarah Norman (married 1851 Wokingham) then had 8 children, Jane, Henry, Emma, William, Jack, Edward, Joseph and Alfred. Ive then traced Jacks family. He married Louisa Ann Strong in 1881 and they had 14 children, Alfred ( died at the Battle Of The Somme 1916), Louisa, Frederick, Ernest, Harry, Eliza, Florence, Jack, Joseph, Stanley, Reginald, Robert, Constance and Elsie. If this helps, Harry, was a burglar called Flannelfoot and received a fair bit of coverage in the newspapers (1936-37). ( he also went under the name of Henry Williams) Robert is my great great grandfather. Jack and Robert were both butchers as were several other family members. Anyway I am at a loss to Joels parents and family and most detail relating to Jacks family after 1901so any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your time.

Flannelfoot was my father's Uncle. My father is David Vickers, and his father was Joseph Vickers, brother of Harry. If you have not already made contact with my father, then please let me know.
