My or my those David Bogies are hard to track. My dad and greatgrandfather were David Bogie. The elder was born to James Bogie in Kirkcaldy and they migrated to Canada and then David came to Minnesota. James was a sea captain on the great lakes and died at sea. His wife, my great great grandmother Agnes, is buried in Wisconsin. It is so complicated to unravel..............

Is your David Bogie and/or James the same as mine? Or are they two cifferent families with the same surname?

They are different. I will write what I have discovered about the Scotland Bogie's who are my relatives soon. I'm sure going back far enough there is a connection. I was in contact with a Bogie in Scotland and she sent me a "tree" which included a Friar Bogie back in the 1300's. Neat!
