William Aaron's wife, Joanna Joan Bailey

Journal by kathleenc

Joanna Joan Bailey was born abt 1745 in Virginia. I have been trying to trace her family (as have a lot of other researchers on this line!) and so far have had no luck. However, I did find an interesting clue. My ancestor, William Aaron and Joanna's youngest son, was named Nimrod. Now until recently, he was thought to be named after William Aaron's mother's maiden name. But recent DNA testing has eliminated them as his parents, leaving me to believe he was possibly named after someone in the Bailey family. There are no other Nimrod Sanders in this line until him. I have found a family in Westmoreland, Va with family members named Nimrod. When I find more, I will post them.

I'm also researching Guyton, Cole, McAlister lines. Just starting on the GUINTY, SNODGRASS, PIPER line on my father's line. My ancestors came from England, Ireland, Scotland. They settled in Massachussetts, Kansas, Mississippi, Virginia, North Carolina. I have also been researching the Manning line on my fathers side. The Sanders line is nearly complete, exept the large wall between William Aaron and his ancestors (Thanks to DNA evidence disproving a large part of my work, and the work of others!). Would love to hear from any distant cousins I have out there!
