William BURRIDGE married Frances ??? c. 1827/28

Journal by maddyfrost

William BURRIDGE was born at Colchester, Essex, England c. 1805 (from 1851 UK census). His wife was Frances, born c. 1808 at Colchester also.
In 1851 he was a seed cultivator. His father, William also from Colchester was born c. 1783 (1851 census) and was a Seed Grocer.

I am seeking the marriage of William and Frances to gain her surname.

Birth, Death and Marriage - Historical Records - New Zealand

"...The historic data available for you to search is limited so that information relating to people who might still be alive, can be protected. Information available includes:

* Births that occurred at least 100 years ago
* Stillbirths that occurred at least 50 years ago
* Marriages and eventually Civil Unions that occurred 80 years ago
* Deaths that occurred at least 50 years ago or the deceased's date of birth was at least 80 years ago..."

Tip: Search through the Deaths index for Burridges - will be a quite few pages!

Possibilities: Perhaps your William BURRIDGE and Frances (unknown) married in England? Or Frances wasn't the wife's first name?

If they married in England, the best site to goto is RootsChat register as a new user, free site, then find their New Zealand board to find their emigration/passenger list. And goto their England - Historical Counties board to find their marriage. Post a lookup request.

Thanks for the information but this family has no connection to New Zealand. I came to New Zealand as a child in 1957. Cheers, Madalene
