I am researching the surname Duck. William Charles Duck born c 1835 in Bath Wiltshire. Father Henry. Family papers indicate William was born to Henry Duck who emigrated to Auckland New Zealand with his family leaving William to be brought up by his Grandmother. Papers have indicated that Henry's family were farmers and one of them was a Post Master.

I wondered whether you had come across any information concerning this family.

Thank you.

Hi Helen,
Sorry, there is no link that I have to your Duck line. My mob came from Calais France. Henry Duck born 16 Jul 1847 to parents Thomas Duck and Elizabeth LITCHFIELD. He emigrated to NSW Australia in ? and was a wool carter shifting bales of wool from the Tablelands to the warfs at Raymond Terrace NSW. He was also a farmer and a wood cutter being famous for cutting shingles for housing. He built his own homes and was a preacher. He died 21 Sep 1914 in Kendal NSW. He married Betsy GILBERT 1873 in Kendal and they had 9 children.
