Wm. ENNIS found in County Down son of McMASTERS

Journal by pady51

I found my Great Grandfather's Death Certificate from Illinois. It states that he was born in County Down in August of 1866.
LDS files indicate that his father's name was John Ennis and his mother Jane/Jean Mc Masters.

Hi fawcett36,
Thank you so much for your reply. Do you have the same info in your research regarding John Ennis (1825) and Jane McMasters? LDS lists this info, but I haven't gotten the official records yet and would feel more comfortable knowing you came across the same info on your own.
Also you mention John Ennis, born 1757 and Brice Ennis (b.1757)with different parents. What is the relationship between Brice and this John? I'm missing something here and can't figure it out...
Are you an Ennis? I am the granddaughter of Arthur Ferris Ennis (b.1896) in Chicago. My mother was Mary Jane Ennis (b.1925, d. 1987), sister of Anne Ennis.
Thank you so much for your time and help. Feel free to email me @ pady51@sbcglobal.net.
Thanks again,
Pat Dyess
