Hi, my grandfather was Maurice Lyon Chubb he married Rose Rebecca Wright in Hawera on the 24th of May 1928, Rose's mother was Annie Wright married to James Wright of Oxford Canterbury, her mothers Maiden name was Annie Grant, also of Oxford Canterbury.... hope your keeping up... Annie was the daughter of John Peter Grant born 22 May 1842 in Lochee Perth, Scotland, John Grant arrived in Canterbury on the City of Glasgow from Glasgow, on the 21st of May 1874 and settled in Canterbury. Annies mothers maiden name was Mary Anne Forbes, born in Edinbrough Scotland in 1840. i have more information if you wish, i also have some information around the Wright family in Oxford Canterbury they were all settlers in the area and with large familys so it's not suppising they all connected at on time or another. hope this helps...

Hi, My Grandfather was Arthur Wright who was the eldest son of James and Annie Wright. I don't have a lot of information, some shipping details and my grandfathers ww1 war records but my father remembers bits and pieces that grandad mentioned. We don't have many photos. There is a Wright facebook page.
