Bridget Meade - Red Rover 1832

Journal by Howardtong

Bridget Meade was with a group of Irish young women who sailed from Cork, Ireland in 1832 bound for Australia. Arrived in Sydney and married a shipwright William Anderson 18 Nov 1832. Keen to fill in the gaps to this story as I compile my family history. Was she an orphan or just from a poor house? Is there a list of passengers for this voyage?

The article in TROVE seems to imply they were orphaned from Catholic homes.
