born in Woodstock Ontario, her grandfather was a shoe maker and his father was John Manton. Can you please help, I've been able to trace my history back to the 1400's but can't find anything on hers. All I know is that she was told there is a rifle/shotgun in the Toronto museum that was made by someone she's related to. I looked it up and Joseph Manton from England was a recognized gunsmith and he passed it down to his son's, 2 of whom came to Canada. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thank you.
