Hello Ron. My 3x great grandparents were John Jasper Sloan and Martha Jane Huffman. My grandma Bernadine Sloan Maness told me that her great grandpa Sloan was adopted. I have photos of him and grown children, but none of Martha, unless she is the Cherokee woman I have a photo of that I was told was my grandma’s great grandmother. I can’t find when Martha died or where she is buried, just Douglas County, Missouri on Familysearch. I am trying to find out who the Indian woman is. She could be half Cherokee. My grandma was born in Kellyville, OK and her father was Toney Sloan, son of John William Sloan and Willie Etta Stillwell Sloan. I hope to hear from you cousin!
