There was a John QUIN who was born about 1828 in Ballymoney, County Down, Ireland
- he married Jane NEWPORT in 1851 in New Zealand
- they had 5 children
- John died in 1872 aged 44 in Wanganui

- I believe Jane may have remarried in 1874 to Johne JONES (but not yet verified)

there is also a family tree HERE that has a John Quin married to a Jane Newport living in Victoria Australia

yes Jane did remarrie John Jones One of the children is Charlie Quin who is my grandmothers father died in 1931 and is buried in hamilton east cemetary
