Joseph B. Stites 1825 from NJ. Father died at sea, older brother had him apprenticed to AYERS from Philadelphia, PA, was taken from there....

Question by MHS

I am looking for Any information about:

1) Joseph B. Stites. I know that he was born in 1825 in NJ, his father died at sea and had an older bother named John who apprenticed him to a man with the last name of Ayers (sadly, I don't have a first name or for what he was an apprentice for). I am the fourth generation of trying to find out who Joseph's were and his other siblings were as well. If you have ANY information on Joseph B., please let us know.

2) Also, if you have ANY information on who this AYERS was as well, that would be wonderful, too. There are some STITES who married AYERS who would be in the same generation of Joseph's parents and I wonder if that's why he was apprenticed to him. So if you have any kind of information on who AYERS was and if there's a connection between the Ayers and the Stites' that matters, that would be wonderful as well.

Many Many thanks in advance,

MHS
