5 April 1890 ... The Wesleyan Church Bazaar and concert was continued on Thursday last and was pre-emenintly successful, a large number of persons not only attended but investing money in the various useful and pretty articles with which stalls were laden. Miss Annie Bignell, charmingly arrayed as a Fairy, presided at a small model of a windlass neatly constructed by Mr Joseph Brocklehurst and drove a roaring trade
