Robinson Morrow was my great great grandad. He married Sarah Trimble, they had at least one daughter, my grat grandmother who married James Macdonald at St Marks church Armagh. They opened a Taylors business in Scotch St Armagh No 17 or 25 they lived in both, had quite a large family of whom my grandfather, Thomas Macdonald carried on the business for a short time after his Fathers death and then he died a couple of years later leaving his brothers Ross(Robinson) and Norman running it. I believe it closed down about 1947. As far as i know there are no close family links remaining in Armagh, although i would love to get in touch with anyone who knows of any Macdonaldsor Morrows who are related.
Bernard Ward.
Ps My mother was Barbara Macdonald.

This is the same family I have been looking for. Robinson Morrow born 1831 was the brother of my Great Great Grandfather William Morrow both born at 78 Callan Street Armagh they were both shoe and boot makers Robinson married Sarah Trimble in St Marks Church 1864 they had a daughter Agnes born 1865 Married name Bell widowed at the age of 36 living with father at 78 Callan Street 1901 was a Linen Weaver no record of any children. Daughter Margaret born 1868 married name Allen widowed at 40 children Sarah-John-William-George living at 80 Callan Street in 1911. there were 2 other daughters Married names Slator and McDonald. He had a son Robert born in Monaghan Town 1872 he was a Tailor lived at 34 Callan Street with wife Ellen(nee Connolly)they had 3 daughters Rebecca aged 8 Mary aged 6 and Agnes aged 2 in 1901. Moved to 55 Callan Street by 1911 2 more daughters born. There is are graves in St. Marks Grave Yard which I have visited were Roberts Family are buried there is a son called Robinson buried in it born after 1911. I am the Great Great Granddaughter of William Morrow who moved to Monaghan Town with his wife Margaret the had a Boot & Shoe shop and living quarters at 53 Glasslough Street they had 2 sons William and Robinson (who never married and was a Tailor) twin daughters Sarah and Margaret. Margaret married John Allen a baker and had 4 sons and 4 daughters they moved to Belfast in1903 there son James was my grandfather Margaret Morrow Allen my great grandmother lived till June 1964 to the age of 96. You and I share the same Great-Great-Great grand parents. As far as I can tell Robert Morrow has family still living in Armagh with conections to St. Marks Church.

Hi
I believe that your family trees and mine share the branch that include Margaret marrying John Allen, a Baker, who would be my great grand parents on my mother's side. If so, the had a daughter Elizabeth (my grand mother), who married William Millar (a riveter), they had a son Alan and a daughter Joan (my mother). My mum recalls family apparently coming from Monaghan.
I'm just piecing it together.

Jo.
