DOOLEY family Queens Co., NYC

Journal by Irishone

My maternal grandparents were WILLIAM DOOLEY (b. 1873) and MARY ESTELLE OHLROGGE (KELLY) (b. 1886). They had 6 children: Francis, Mary(May), Florence, Catherine, Evelyn, and Lillian. The family lived in Queens Co., possibly Laurel Hill and/or Long Island City. They may have moved a few times, but I feel they always remained within the borough of Queens. Will Dooley may have owned a marble business, but I don't know the name of it. He died between 1920-1930. His parents may have come from Ireland, but I don't know that for sure. Siblings? Mary Estelle Ohlrogge was orphaned as a very young child. She was raised by M/M KELLY, and assumed their last name as her own. Mrs. Kelly may have been an Ohlrogge.

I am particularly interested in learning more about Will Dooley's heritage.

Thank you very much for this info. As you can see I have some info slready, but need much more to add to the family tree. Some years back I was able to trace my father's mother to Co. Longford in Ireland, and subsequently took a trip to her home town. It was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. My hope is to find out which county in Ireland the Dooleys hailed from. Once again, thank you for your help.
