I am a descendent of Garit Segers who was born around 1620, and lived in New Netherlands and then Staten Island. We are actually descended from his son Issac. My mother's maiden name is Garrison. Our family is in North Florida and has been for generations,so I'm looking for any other direct descendants of Garit Segers in other areas, specifically Staten Island or NY. From my research I understand that some of his descendents kept the Segers name, some Garrison. I would love to hear from family!
