Hi again Helzy,
Your grandmother, Mary McGregor, was 1 of 11 children of Duncan McGregor (1869-1953), born in Masterton & Frances Colway (1867-1948) who are buried together at Archer Street, Masterton. If you go back to my post that you commented on earlier and see child .. 14 .. 1900 - 1981 John Ernest 'Jack' Ede married Mary McGregor in 1930, you will see the update (with photo).

Your great grandfather, Duncan McGregor, was a son of James McGregor (1844-1935) from Scotland & Lois (nee Feist 1841-1918) from Sussex, England (Mary's grandparents, your great, great, grandparents), who married in NZ and eventually settled in Upper Plain, Masterton. James had a sawmill in Masterton and built the first Knox Sunday School in 1865 of which he was superintendent for 50 years. He was also involved in the Prohibition movement and the Masterton A and P Association, of which he was a foundation member. For a considerable period he was a member of the Trust Lands Trust. From 1885 he was in partnership with his son Duncan in farming.
