William and Ann were tenants on the Sir Robert Gore Booth estate and were part of the forced evictions of 1847.

They and their children Thomas, Elizabeth and Ann were put aboard the ship Lady Sale, which landed in St John New Brunswick in early September. Ann and young Ann were victims of fever and placed in quarantine on Partridge Island, where the elder died. Young Ann was released to the paupers house and then discharged.

I have found records of the Ann's in the New Brunswick archives but nothing of the rest.

Thomas (born 1829), married Mary Johnston (born 1837 in Upper Canada) in 1854 and they homesteaded in the Simcoe district of Ontario raising a family of 13 children.

Elizabeth (born 1831), married Robert Shannon(born 1823 in Sligo)in 1858 and they homesteaded in the Grey district of Ontario raising a family of 7 children.

Ann remained unmarried, but I can find record of her living with the Shannons until her death.

Records in the LDS database state that William died in St John in 1847, but I cannot substantiate this information. Gore Booth apparently sent over 100 widows and children on the ship, so he might of died in Ireland.

Any information regarding this family and their descendants would be great!
