I've just started researching my paternal grandmother's history. If anyone has any information, please contact me. I believe she was originally fron North Carolina. She married Preston Wright, and had 6 children. I know she was born in the year 1895. Her heritage is Cherokee and Apache, 1/4 I am told. I know she and her husband homesteaded 80 acres on Skyline Mtn, in Jackson Co Alabama. She resided there until her death in 1974. She shared her home with her son, William "Lawrence" Wright,his wife Peggy and their 3 sons:Terry,Bill and Tim. i think grandma's name was Frances, but she was called Fannie or Ms. Wright.
