Mary Elizabeth ROSS was born 3 Feb 1922 in Davenport, Scott, Iowa, dtr of John A. and Claire SCHLEGEL ROSS. She married John MORRETT SEATON on 27 Dec 1941 in her Ridgewood Avenue family home.

John was born 20 Nov 1919 in Hazen, Prairie, Arkansas, son of Ray Frank and Cleo MORRETT SEATON. HE graduated from Davenport High School. John served during WWII in the Army from 1941-1945, when he returned to DAvenport and joined his father in the real estate business. In 1950, the family moved to Cedar Rapids, Linn, Iowa as Personnel Director for the city of Cedar Rapids. John SEATON died 30 Oct 1966 in a car accident in Washington, D.C. and is buried in Davenport's Oakdale Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth attended Coe College and the Universities of Chicago, Iowa, and California, and had a 28-year career in organizational management and development. In 1969, she moved to San Diego, California. (no access to SSDI or Cali Death Index). They had 4 children:

1. Michael Andrew b 31 Jul 1943 in Davenport. He served in the Marine Corps from 1966-69 as a captain and received his BA and MA. On 19 Feb 1966 he married Coralee Catherine SCHAFER in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was born 12 Oct 1944 in LaMars, Plymouth, Iowa {"ice cream capitol of the world" - Blue Bunny), dtr of Carl and Dolores REISTROFFER SHAFER. They reside (1986) in Annandale, Fairfax, Virginia where Michael is employed as a program coordinator and Coralee works as a transportation specialist. They had 1 son: Jeffrey Matthew SEATON b 28 Dec 1967 at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. (1985)

2. John ROSS SEATON b 30 Sept 1946 in Davenport, Scott, Iowa. He served in the Navy form 1967-1970 and after graduating from SDSU (San Diego State University - go Aztecs!) whee he received his B.S., he attended the Naval MedicalCollege. John married Mary Ann WESTON, in Chester, California; Tammy BROWNELL at Graham, Washington; and on 23 Jul 1983 he married Kathi LARSEN at Dash Point, Washington. Kathi was born 31 Aprl 1948 in Ames, Iowa. They reside at Tacoma, Washington, (1985) were they pursue careers in medicine.

3. William MORRETT born 12 May 1949 in Davenport, Scott, Iowa. He served in the Army from 1967-69. He received his BS degree from San Diego State and his MBA from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, San Mateo, California. On 20 Dec 1971 he married Patsy Lynne Nakayama in San Diego. They were divorced Apr 1979 (no date). William is a resident of Normandy Park, Washington where he is in banking. (1985)

4. James Ray born 28 Oct 1951 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He received his BA at San Diego State. On 28 Jul 1979, James married Janet Louise HENNES in San Diego, California. Janet is the dtr of Donald Arthur and Ernestine SCHNEIDER HENNES born 16 Sept 1953 in San Diego. She received her BA andMA degree from SDSU. They reside in San Diego where James is the owner-manager of a charter bus company and Janet teaches elementary school (1985).
