Russell Dean Alder of Nebraska and Family

Grandma and Grandpa didn't stay childless for very long. In 1934 Darlene Catherine was born. She died in November 2005. She was a perty little blondy. She was born in Hastings Nebraska. Grandpa Russ worked for the telephone company, so they were moving all the time, looking for better money. In 1935, Irving Roy was born. With a name like that, he said;he had to be nicknamed Bud. He lived in Hastings lamost til the day he died. He moved to Arizona just a few years before, but most of his life he stayed right there with the corn. The rest of their children are still living. And by the rest I mean there were seven of those babies! TOTAL!
Grandpa Alder and Grandma's love fell to the wayside, and in about 1950 Grandma and he got a divorce and she married Ray Jess Martin. I have two Uncle's from that union that I wouldn't trade in the world.
Grandpa Martin died first, then Grandma. She also died of a broken heart.

Russell Dean Alder of Nebraska

R.D. Alder (as he liked being called) was born outside Hastings Nebraska in 1911. My Grandmother, whom he was destined to marry, was born during the days of '47's yearly festivities that were happening back in Salt Lake City on July 24th, 1913. In 1932,they got married. Grandma's name was Gladys Gertrude Wyman. She came from a healthy Danish family, with great morals and family values. Hard work was nothing to my Grandmother, she started working when she was very young so that she could help the family. After all, she and her brother Vernon were the two oldest out of eleven. The sad part was, The first baby died, then the third and forth. My Great Grandma Wyman was having a heck of a time, keeping children alive.
Great Grandma Wyman Was having babies up 'til 1929.
Grandpa Wyman's name was Carl J. Wyman and Grandma Wymans name was Eda Sophia Wyman, but everywhere you look you see "Edith" for her first name.

I Wanted To Complete My Armor of Rightousness!

I was only a little girl and in church (MIA) we started genealogy. Page one is marked 1968 so I must have been going on 13. And the more we did the more stickers we got to put on this Armor. But when I found out that it was more than HISTORY, I got hooked. I loved to find out what it was like "back then" and if someone famous could be related to me! Then I thought, if I don't do this, and I have only sisters, my Dad's family will be forgotten! (Not thinking that my Dad had a brother that had sons.) I began doing my Dad's genealogy and it took off like wildfire. He has some great people in his family! Then I tried my Mom's Wyman said... not so easy. With Sorensens, Pedersons, all these people in this family. And adoptions and weird names like Andoriram,no offense if your an Andoniram!
But I need to find my cousin Bev and my other Cousin Tim C Wyman and maybe we can put some stuff together!
