Looking for MILTON G. SMITH whose middle name has not been confirmed. It has been stated as: GREEN, GREENWOOD, or GREENBERRY but to date I have found no documentation to confirm what his middle initial stood for.

It has also been noted that Milton G. Smith was a sheriff in the Ozark region of Illinois and Missouri; this has not been confirmed. Also, it has been noted he had a son, Thomas Jefferson Smith, who had a son who was kidnapped and later turned up in Texas; none of this has been confirmed so as of today, it is just rumors and/or conjecture.

Researching My Maternal Lineage: STROWMATT

My maternal lineage is connected to the STROWMATT line via Jessie Baird Rohrer ('nee STROWMATT). According to the information I have, the surname STROWMATT may have started in Ireland as: STRAWMATT. I can trace my STROWMATT lineage back but there are times the spelling isn't consistent with the names that have been confirmed but show up on census lists as STRAWMATT. I would like documentation confirmation of connections between STROWMATT and STRAWMATT.
