Still searching genealogy leads.

I have been searching with no luck on my family for almost three years now. The leads that I have run across have just managed to reunite other families with the same last name (which I have no problem doing), but I would really love to find "my" family. I know my great grandfather Joseph L. Pirog had brother's; Martin, Walter, Peter, and John Pirog, and that my great great grandfather's name was Leon or Leonard Pirog. I know John Pirog (Pirok) and Peter Pirog immi. the U.S., but Martin and Walter were supposed to come over after the War and never did. I know this becasue my grandfather and my Great Uncle Boris recall getting letters and photos from Poland, but they never had names or dates on them to say who they were. My great grandfather (Joseph) was one of the original families that help found the St. John's Russian orthodox church in Michigan on National Street because he is mentioned in a book that was published a few years back called "Gathered at the River". Peter (Joseph's brother) married a Tillie (maiden name unknown) and her original first name should have been Tekla in Polish. They had three children, Mary or Marie, Olga, and Vera Pirog. Peter and Tillie are buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Kent, County Michigan where my grandfather (Nicholas Pirok and other relatives "Pirok") are buried. My great grandfather Joseph Pirog/Pirok was married to Celia Papke (her first name in Polish was Kesmia) and her father's name was Alexander Papke who m. Sophia Sidorek.

Looking for relatives of Joseph L. Pirog of Poland/Russia

The closest we have come to researching our families roots or finding anyone/new information is my Great Grandfather Joseph L. Pirog and his parents; Leon Pirog and Julia Derbowicz. My great grandfather had four brother's that we are aware of at this point; Peter Pirog, John Pirog/Pirok, Walter Pirog, and Martin Pirog. On my great grandfather's WWI draft card it states that he is from Tomaszow, Lublin Poland Russia.

My family and I have a website for researchers, so please visit and register with us if you are also researching anyone with these surnames.
