All i have is he stated on his first borns bc he was from PEI ‘ his age was stated as 31years. Somehow Samuel travelled to Australia to marry Martha Taylor in a Presbyterian scots church in Melbourne in 1852. They had 4 children William Alexander 1855’ James 1859 ‘ Thomas 1860 and Letitia 1861. His residences were Eltham’ Queenstown and Caniambo. Martha died in 1862’ the children were put into Sunbury Industrial school and The Melbourne orphanage asylum and stated Samuel was destitute James and Letitia passed away whilst in care. Samuel passed away in 1868 at The Melbourne Hospital and is buried in a paupers grave. I have searched as much as I possibly can online for his birth record so as to find his birth family with no luck. Any documents were signed with an ‘x” as his signature. Marthas family are mentioned as witness to both Letitia and James death certs. His occupations were settler’ miner and Labourer all within Eltham Victoria Australia districts.
