RTANNER55 on Family Tree Circles

Margrat Tanner was born, Margrat Blackburn in 1837 Tenn. The daughter of John & Kissiah Blackburn. Her siblings were Martha, Polly, Francis Israel,John Jr. and Meredith Blackburn.
Margaret married William James Dodd 11 May 1856 Gallatin co., Ill. They had three sons - William C.1856, John F. 1859 & David Wilson Dodd. I believe William James Dodd died 22 Mar 1863 Memphis, Tenn. during the Civil War.
Margrat Blackburn Dodd married "W.R." William Riley Tanner 23 Aug. 1863 in Saline Co., Ill.
"W.R." William Riley Tanner was born Oct. 1824 in Muhlenberg, Ky. The son of Thomas 'Old Thomas' & Ailsey Jernigan Tanner.
"W.R." Tanner first married Mary Ann Bohannon 8 Aug. 1846 in Gallatin Co., Ill. They had 4 children when Mary Ann Tanner died in Mar. 1860. in Williamson Co., Ill.
"W.R." & Margrat both still had young children from their prior marriages when they married. Togather they later had three more boys - Edward F.1865, Peter W.1869 & Charley Sherman Tanner 1873.
I've not been able to find Margrat's date of death, cause or where. The family migrated through Missouri to North Arkansas (Baxter Co.) in the mid 1880's. "W.R."'s oldest son David James & Rosa Curtner Tanner settled and raised their family in Oregon Co., Mo. in the small town of Calm, Mo.
"W.R." William Riley & Margrat Tanner were my gg-grandparents. "W.R." died in 1909 and was buried at Calm, Mo. near his oldest son, from his first marriage, (David James Tanner 1848 - 1935) at the Liberty Cemetery - Mo. Hwy 142.
