Andrew Fisher of Glasgow / Scotland.
I am looking for the parents of Andrew Fisher.
He was born in 1862 in Melbourne, Australia, he married Jane Beatrice Taylor 1889 in Carlton, Victoria, Australia.
His parents Andrew Fisher was born 1829 in Glascow, Scotland, He married Eliza Tittley in 1856 in Glascow.

I have found out that my great grand parent John Harwood was born in Melbourne about 1843.
His occupation was a managing law clerk.
He married Isabella Macaloon 17th March 1875 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Melbourne.
John's father was born in London about 1806.
He married Johanna Mansfield in Melbourne in 1842.
They also had a daughter Johanna born in 1849.
I would like to know more about John's life in Melbourne, as well his parent's life in England.

Life in Australia for Matthew Mitchell BOURKE
He left Liverpool on 17th Sept 1863, bound for Australia (on the "Maryborough" ship), arriving in Melbourne on 16th December)
He trained as a school teacher.
He married Frances Rebecca Redropp on 24th June 1876, in the Victorian town of Malmsbury.
While working in teaching positions in five different country towns, they had eleven children, one of which was my grand father, William.(born in 1882 in Elmore, Victoria)
William married Minnie Frances Theresa Whitlow in 1910.
They had two daughters: Eileen Frances, born 26th Dec 1911.
My mother Mavis Kathleen, born 9th Dec 1912.
Also two sons:Edmund Mitchell, born 1916, died 1917 and William Richard, born 1918, died 1918.
Mum married Stanley George Silverwood on 27th Oct 1934.
My parents had three sons:
Desmond William, born 19th Feb 1939, single.
Trevor John, born 18th Oct 1941, single.
Third born was yours trully, Richard Bourke, born 26th July 1945.
I married Gladys Dawn Lucas on 5th May 1973.
We have two sons, Craig Ashley born 31st May 1977 and Bradley Robert born 9th May 1981.
Looking for Thomas Silverwood of West Derby, Lancashire.
Hello, I am trying to trace the family of my great grand uncle Thomas Silverwood junior, was born 1860 in West Derby, Lancashire.
His father Thomas was born 1829 in Hulme, Manchester, Lancashire, he married Elizabeth Anne Martha Luce in Sept 1857.
All I have is a Thomas Silverwood in 1881 England Cenus, a boarder, living at 41 Enid Street, Toxeth Park, Liverpool, Occupation: Solicitors General Clerk, aged 20 yrs.
I would like to know who and when he married and family details, so I can research more details on his immediate family.

I am trying to trace Christopher and Betty Silverwood, both born about 1799-1801 in Lancashire.
In the 1841 England Cenus they lived in:67 Portland Street, Manchester, had 5 children, Margaret, William (my grand parent), Mary, Elizabeth and Esther.

Looking for George Edward ATKIN
I am trying to find out where George was born, he was born in 1917.
I couldn;t find any record.
His parents George Edwin Atkin (born 1883 in Sheffield, Yorkshire and Violet Caffarata (born 1885 in Manchester, Lancashire)
They had 3 other children: John, Gladys and Ivy.
The family travelled and settled in Melbourne, Australia.
The current family think he might have been born in Belfast.
Unfortunately he was Prisoner of War (a victim of the Burma Railway) dying there in 1944.

Looking for George Gardiner Whitlow
My great grand father George Gardiner Whitlow, born Dec 1831 Manchester, England.
He came to Victoria, but I have no records of what ship he was on etc.
He married Alice McLachlan in the gold mining town of Walhalla in 1869.
She was born in Hobart, Tasmania in 1849.
She died in Walhalla in 1874.
George then married my great grand mother Theresa Holdsworth Beard in 1876 in Walahalla.
My nan Minnie Theresa Frances (1 of 7 children) was born in 1877 in Walhalla.
I would like to know whether George arrived as a convict in Hobart, Tasmania, where he might have met Alice.

She was born in 1853, in Dunoon, Scotland.
She travelled to Melbourne, Australia,, arriving on 18th Oct 1871.
Isabella married John Harwood on 17th March 1875 at St, Francis Catholic Church, Melbourne.
