Ann Large married George Evans in Melbourne in 1856. They look to have settled in the Geelong area. I am looking for their family in Australia.

Ann Large was the daughter of Ann Morgan and Robert Large, from Ireland.
They had four sons.
Robert Henry Evans.
George Arthur Evans.
Ernest Harcourt Evans.
Frederick John Evans.
I am hoping to hear from their descendants. Ann Morgan was a relation of mine.

Dundas Welsh and Mary Welsh nee Waldock, from Scotland to Melbourne

I am trying to find the name and other details of the ship which brought Dundas Welsh (1824 - 1913) and his wife Mary Welsh, nee Waldock (1835 - 1909) from Scotland to Australia.

Dundas Welsh was born in Bothkennar, Stirlingshire, Scotland.

Mary Waldock was born in Glasgow.

They were married in Australia in 1855. (Given their age difference and marriage in Australia, they may well have eloped). Mary Waldock would have been 20 when she married, so my guess would be they left Scotland in 1854 or 1855, possibly 1853.

I've had no luck finding their ship.

I am looking for what happened to Albert Joseph Derrick after being apprehended in 1904 in South Australia "as a pauper lunatic, at Cockburn; sent to the asylum"

Born 1871, Amherst, Victoria. The subject of the 1904 South Australia Police gazette report (October 5, 1904), under the heading of "Apprehensions of The Week". Mentioned in the 1920 death notice of his mother as deceased. Brother of my great-grandmother, Kate Roberts.
I am trying to find when and where Albert J. Derrick may have died, and where he might be buried. The 1904 report is our last clue.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Looking for family of Ted Ellis, Best and Fairest player Footscray 1942

I am curious to know if Ted Ellis who played football for Footscray and North Melbourne, as did two sons of his, Lindsay and Kingsley, is related.

His grandson is singer Daniel Merriweather.

We are descendants of Edward Woodrow Tregenza Ellis and Frances Ellis, nee Tonkin, who arrived in Victoria in the 1850's on a ship called the "Hooghly". Several sons were born to them: Edward, Richard, Francis, Alfred, Charles and William.

Owen Conway 1788-1873; Letitia Conway 1793-1843; Margaret Conway (Mrs Rev. Moore Morgan) 1785-1862. Are these three siblings?

Name: Owen Conway
Estimated birth year: abt 1788
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1873
Death Age: 85
Registration district: Gortin
Volume: 2
Page: 108
FHL Film Number: 101589
***********************************
A death notice in the Limerick Chronicle June 7, 1843 reads: "At Lower Dorset Street, Letitia, daughter of the late William Conway Esq., South Anne-street". I have a burial record for her in Dublin 1843.
*************************************************
These are the only two pieces of recorded information I have been able to find on these two, who may well be siblings of Margaret Conway-Morgan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking information of John Albert Smith, married Annie Morgan, Port Melbourne, c 1898

They had two children, John Owen and Maggie Smith.

Annie (Morgan) Smith died in 1900, aged 20, 6 weeks after Maggie was born. John was 18 months old.

The two children spent time in care before being raised by their maternal grandmother, Ellen Morgan nee Quinlan, and were raised with the Morgan name.

My understanding is the children did not see him or know him.

Would love to know more about John Albert Smith, not an easy name to pursue.

I am trying to locate details of the life of Theodosia Morgan whose death record appears above.
I am hoping for some help in discovering if:
her maiden name was Belcher or Belchere?
she was related to the Captain R.T. Belcher of the Bandon Railway Company in Cork?

had any children?
is buried alone or with others, somewhere in the Cork area?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

THOMAS KEITH EVANS, son of Thomas Edward Evans and Emily Jessamine Evans (nee Morgan) of South Australia

When his father died in 1950 a newspaper death notice placed in a Melbourne newspaper mentioned his son Keith living in Adelaide, the father of Leon, Ken, Barry and Roger Evans. in 1938 Sands and McDougall have Thomas Keith Evans at 1 Hurstman Street Malvern East. Electoral rolls have Thomas Keith Evans and wife Linda (nee Hall) at Weetangera A.C.T., Floreat W.A and Wembley Park W.A.
There is a death record for his mother Emily J.Evans in Adelaide in 1952, 2 years after his father's death when Keith was mentioned as living in Adelaide.
I seek information about the family of Keith and Linda Evans, their lives in Adelaide and the lives of their children and grandchildren.
