ann elizabeth holdsworth x 2 new zealand.
david holdsworth born 1811 selby england migrated to NZ with his family in 1853. he had 2 daughters called ann elizabeth, one born 1839, one born 1847. historical societies can find no record of either ann dying in england, there are 2 ann holdsworth on the boat over [cornwall]. one ann married john shaw in 1869, but which one was it? what happened to the other one? any help appreciated, many thanks.
Ellen Oatway Holdsworth
Trying to find any details on this woman. She married John Torr Holdsworth 1863 Auckland NZ registered as ellen olway. she has their son david edward torr holdsworth 1864 registered as helen. no info on her before this date. cannot find where she was born in NZ, there are several ellen oatways around the right age [guessing 1839-1845] but no evidence on any migrating to NZ. any help appreciated. She went to Australia after that with husband and son and then disappears again. no death certificate in the name, can only presume she married again but I have no facts to go on. any help appreciated, thank you.
Ellen Oatway, who is she and where did she come from?
I am looking into Ellen Oatway, she is the wife of John Torr Holdsworth married 1863 in Auckland [marriage licence says Olway], had a son David Edward Torr Holdsworth 1864 [ registered as Helen]. No record of her before then, cant find proof she was born in NZ or came over on a ship. There are quite a few Ellen Oatways in England who are about the right age but no evidence any of them came to NZ. She also disappears again in Australia and I'm chasing that angle up too. Any help appreciated. thank you.

David Holdsworth born 1811 in Selby England, migrated to Auckland 1853. He had a large family including 2 daughters called Ann Elizabeth. One born in 1839, the other 1847. There is no record of either dying in England. On board the Cornwall in 1853 there were 2 Ann Holdsworths, but no ages supplied. My question is did both of them make it to New Zealand?, which one of the married John Shaw? and what became of the other one? many thanks
