NOTE: No known connection for Arthur Davis but it appears he and Daniel Davis were neighbors in Barnwell SC. In 1800. There was a large turn over or movement of listed Davis families in Barnwell SC from 1800 to 1810 census. It's possible that Daniel Davis had unknown siblings that also moved to the Mississippi Territory with included current Alabama & Mississippi States.

We may never find the Grave site for Daniel Davis or his 1st wife ( Unknown Name from SC Circa 1810.),Due to the river movement in Clarke County AL around the early 1800 period. Clarke County is bordered by the Tombigbee River on the West and The Alabama River on the East. They also used native stone and wooden grave markers.

The Statehood of both Mississippi and Alabama Dec. 10, 1817 fueled a major land boom with high traffic crossing the Tombigbee River at St. Stephens, AL.

Questions? Did Daniel Davis of SC have other Siblings that went to Mobile County while he went to Clarke County in 1810?
Did Daniel Davis of SC. Have sufficient funds to have holding in both Clarke County & Mobile County 1810 / 1816.

Have we really connected this Daniel Davis of SC circa 1800. To Reason Davis born 1805 in Barnwell SC.?

Happy Selling, William H. " Bill " Davis II
