My Hawkins are from West Alton , Mo, St Charles County.
They came there from Saline County and surrounding areas of Illinois.
They married into the Morris and Rogers families.

She was the daughter of Valentine Morris and Eliza Hall. Born 1854, died 1945 in St Charles Mo. She married William Rogers in 1887 in Illinois.
Was in Lake Co TN in 1900 as a widow.

My Marshalls include Robert Marshall born 1764 in Washington Co MD. He moved to Kenton Co KY. He married Nancy Mardis, B 1780 in King William Co Va. They had 6 children some of whom relocated to Illinois and MO.

Wm Mulholland came to USA aprox 1830. His father and Mother are believed to be James Mulholland and Catherine Hanna of County Antrim

I am not sure if he went by William. He married Lucy Ann Morris of Saline County , Ill. ( probably his 2nd wife )
He had a daughter born in 1883 in Illinois. He married Lucy in 1887 in Saline Co. They had 2 children, Charles Henry and Mable.
Wm died abt 1900, in a mining accident according to family lore. Lucy and her kids are in Lake County TN in 1900 as a widow.
She later married George Sickman, she and her children settled in West Alton mo.
