William Hall was b.1800 in Stokes Co., NC. His supposed parents are Stephen Hall and Ann Gannon from NY. However, I have not found any proof of a connection. Wm. Hall and wife Rhoda Redford moved to MO about 1834. According to a manuscript written about 1950 by Hall descendants, Wm. had a brother Caleb, Sr. who had a son Caleb, Jr. and another one named George. They lived in TN at some point. Other siblings for Wm. were Elizabeth, Mary, Emily, Alfred, Milly, Edward and Isaac. There may be a will for Stephen Hall in NC, but I have not found it. He died about 1840, which is about the same time Wm. died. He went to NC from MO to settle estate of father and was attacked in the Cumberland Mts. on his way back home, and killed. Would appreciate any information you have on this family.
