I have a Eugene Munro born 1885 Melbourne Victoria. Mother Christina Munro, father unknown. In 1888 Christina Munro marries William James. From then on Eugene takes the name of James eg. 1909 marries as Eugene James. Would he have to have been adopted or had his named changed leagaly. Or back then was it just usual to have done this. If so how would he have been married if his birth certificate is of a different surname? Or did they not have to produce a birth certificate on marriage. Could someone please throw some light onto this for me. Many thanks to you all for taking the time to read this.

I am seeking any one that is or has come across this family. Albert Edward Keck married Mary May Rowe c1917 . They had a Dorothy May Keck who married Robert cook. Bendigo area possibly. Thank you for any help you can give. dide

I have a william john james married to christine munro 1888 Seymour william parent john james " sea Officer" Mother catherine ---moare could be kal , kaf, nal naf , cannot decipher it. But william died 1910 unfortunatley certificate gives mothers maiden name unknown. William's marriage in 1888 gives his birth place mornington victoria. But his marriage cert says he was born at sea near mornington come up with total blanks on this. his birth varies between 1861-1865. Neither trace can be found on his parents John and Catherine.Any suggestions as to find out William James mothers maiden name? have had numerous people look at it but to no avail.

Catherine surname could read unknown have found a catherine galvin who married a john james 1865, and a son william born 1865, eliz born 1871, cath born 1876. Has any one connections with james and galvin born in mornington? Thank you

Elizabeth timewell arrived on the ship "sea" 13 May 1855.With her parents John and Jean Timewell. Also Ann timewell came out maybe Johns sister? Elizabeth married a John Rowe in 1863 Mortlake Victoria Australia. they had 3 Girls Agnes, Elizabeth,Jane. Marriage broke up shortly after 1867. The girls remainded with their mother Elizabeth and her friend Daniel Edwards. Nothing is known of John from then on, i have searched South Australia as he was born there to no avail. His parents were John rowe & Juliahannah ( Nee Long ) John could of remarried and had another family, which would be more direct decendants bearing the Rowe name. any ideas what to follow up on in search of my missing John? all tips will be greatful.

A Frederick Augustus Deunert married in 1895 Hamilton Victoria Australia to a Edith Skipworth. 2 children Gertrude Ida born 1896. Godfrey Allan born 1900. It is believed Gertrude ida Deunert married a Brown. Frederick augustus Deunert died 1921 at Loch, Victoria. Any decendents out their? contact would be appreciated.
