Joseph Bennett born London 1838 and his parents Joseph Bennett and Elizabeth WrighT. With only LONDON (England) as an address on death certificate, I have not found father Joseph Bennett, a Slater, or locality for this family. Can someone help me ple

I have been searching since 1964 for my Great-grandfather b 1838, and his parents in the huge area of London, all to no avail, as I do not know the Parish, nor can I find marriage information for his parents.

Joseph(1838) died in Allahabad, Upper Pradesh, India in 1872, where he was working as a Guard with the East India Railway. He died of Paralysis, believed to be caused by Sunstroke, and was interred at Holy Trinity Church. He and his wife, Jane nee Alexander, married in Melbourne, Vic. Australia, and they sailed to India. Joseph's occupation on arrival was Horse Trainer, and he was 21 years of age. Later, in India, he was known as a Farrier.

I would like to know more about the London family, also the family time in Allahabad, prior to the 18 months employment with the EIR Company. There are very few records available for that area during the years 1866-72.
Tw,o sons were born there, my Grandfather Joseph Edward Bennett b 1866, and later William Gilbert Bennett, who died as an infant and was buried there, but not at Holy Trinity Church. They were both christened at that church.

Jane and Joseph Edward sailed back to Melbourne, Australia on ship Alcastan, in 1873, to live with Jane's parents, Gilbert and Rhoda Alexander, in Lilly Lane,Melbourne. Joseph Edward married Mary Ann Howard, and my mother was one of their children.

After all these years, I am still searching for more news of my Grandfather and his parents in 'London' and I would appreciate help if someone could help my search.

Thank you
