in the 1901 census i found someone i believe to be my great grandad but there is something i do not understand they ar eliving in orford depot but there household consists of the following

arthur kirkland 1899 cape colony capel son 2
harry kirkland 1894 halifax nova scotia son 7
In 1901 there were living at orford depot but what i cannot understand his how could she have the two different lots of named children born the same year as each other but in different places and different surnames.If anyone can understand why please let me know thanks guys.

hi to all of you,as you can see i am researching the millward side of my family and have come to a real stand still.my great grandfathers name was robert joseph millward and i cannot find any records of him anywhere the closest thing i have found was that he was born in south africa in 1897,i found that on the 1901 census i know that he lived in warrington were he maried my great gran known as polly but her name was mary jane nee quinn.he died there in 1959 and i know there was an obituary placed in the warrington guardian for him which had in it his fathers name which i cannot find anywhere but i do know his mothers name was annie but havent a clue of here maiden name if anyone could help me in anyway i would be truly greatful thanks for your time folks and all have a good xmas.
