Information on Robert Smiley - enlisted 4/17/1861 in 2nd Ohio infantry Co. C. Died 5/19/1861 in city hospital Philadelphia, PA aged 24 yrs (info from tombstone in Union Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin county,OH) Son of William Smiley(1789-1873) and Nancy Pennington(1801 - 1885).
