hi! my name is kristine(mcilrath)lee.i live in muskegon michigan.muskegon michigan, is on the northwestern part of the state.muskegon has a really great beach called pere marquette park.im their almost everyday in the summer if i can.i have a big family,im the fifth child of six,i have three older sisters and one older brother named james mcilrath, and a younger brother, dean mcilrath.all six of us kids are in our fourtys.our fathers name is richard mcilrath, hes about sixtyseven years old. his fathers name was louis .grandpa louie was lots of fun. he would do magic tricks out of an old chest for all his grandchildren, it was so fun. gramps lived in muskegon michigan for most of his life.he had four brothers, charles(charly),clairence,then grampa louie, raymond,and the youngest uncle edward. uncle edward was killed in a trucking accident in louisiana right after christmas,about 1955 he was only about thirty years old or so. granpa louie, sometimes called or spelled lewie,also lived a little farther north, about twentyfive miles from muskegon in a sweet little town called shelby,or stony lake michigan. oh the fishing and boating we would all do. my dad richard mcilrath had 3 step brothers, their names were, richard,gorden(gordy) and john meadows, their mothers name was lidia(grandma lid)gramps3rd and lastwife.lid or lidia meadows mcilrath lived to be almost 100,she died about 2005.

im looking for any info on the mcilrath family, starting about the 1700,s in new jersy.alot of them married brainards,aikmans,shaws,some of them migrated next to pennsylvania,then to ohio,like oberlin,cuyahoga,in ohio there is a street named mcilrath.i am looking for the family of samuel mcilrath and lucy brainard my gggrandfathers name was james mcilrath born about 1850. i found him in the 1860s censes with solon the son of samuel mcilrath,the household listed solon mcilrath,eliza, his wife,then the children were listed as james,samuel thompson,and a little sister named jenne bell. lots of mcilrath families were living like right next to each other. ive also heard that their is an old mcilrath cemetary in oberlin ohio, now considerd downtown clevland.many, many, thanks. kristine mcilrath lee
