Nancy Ann Elizabeth Savery Taylor is my great great grandmother. She died in or about 1897 in Clay County, Arkansas. Supposedly in or near the town of Knobel. She was married to Levi Taylor who returned to Vermont after her death and he is buried up there. Savery is Nancy's maiden name.

I am trying to find any information that I can on her. She apparently moved to the area about two years before she died so the story goes. Possibly gave birth to a child named Dwight who died around the time she died or within two years of her death. Other children include - Clarence Taylor, Susie Taylor, Edith Taylor, Ella Taylor, Theresa Taylor, Harry Taylor.

Also, as a part of the story, a woman named Lavida or Lavada (Skaggs) Holman took care of her until she passed. It is uncertain as to whether or not Lavada was married at the time she cared for my g-g-grandmother or if she was still single and going by the last name of Skaggs. I feel a part of finding information about my g-g-grandmother almost might be linking with someone who has information on Lavada and knows the story or is familiar with the story.

I live in NW Arkansas. If anyone has any information about Nancy, please let me know. I can be emailed at lesliebaker@hughes.net.

Looking for Lavada or Lavida Skaggs / Scaggs who married a Holman

Looking for Lavada Skaggs who married a John Holman. She took care of my great great grandmother - Nancy Ann Elizabeth Taylor - maiden name - Savery.

Nancy had children -

possibly some others.

Nancy died supposedly in 1897 in Clay County, Arkansas. I'm trying to find information on Nancy, but I believe a part of finding her is finding someone who knows or knew of Lavada / Lavida... and would know the story of Lavada caring for Nancy until she died.

Please e-mail me at lesliebaker@hughes.net if you have any information at all.

Thank you,

Leslie Baker
