Seeking information on one Fortunato Pastorino believed to be a Sea Captain. Also Ellen Hickey his wife.
Fortunato Pastorino date and place of birth & death are unknown.
Captain F. Pastorino of Genoa married Ellen May Hickey, sixth daughter of John Hickey of Rosewater, on 20th May 1899 at Melbourne. Chronicle, 27th May 1899, Victorian Newspaper.
Ellen Hickey b: 5th Nov 1879 Adelaide, South Australia. Place and date of death unknown.
The family story has it that she sailed from Australia with her husband after their marriage and was never heard of again.
Ellen was the daughter of John Hickey & Catherine Hurley both born in Ireland and died in South Australia.
Ellen Hickey /Pastorino was my great aunt.
Seeking information re John Edmunds, his wife Mary Christopher and any children they may have had. Also parents of both John Edmunds & Mary Christopher.
John Edmunds believed christened 5 Jan 1766 Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, Wales.
Married 22 Dec 1791 to Mary Christopher in Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, Wales.
John died 14 July 1849 Burry Port, Llanelly District, Carmarthenshire, Wales.
Believe John's grandson David Edmunds was drowned in about 1886, he was the Master of SS FAWN.
John & Mary are my 5x great grandparents.
What happened to exile Thomas AUSTIN?
Thomas Austin was born 4 April 1819, Great Billing, Northampton, England, to Harris Austin & Mary Pettit.
It appears that Thomas run foul of the law and was tried in 1844 and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, he was moved from Northampton gaol to Pentonville Prison on 2 Nov 1844.
On 22 June 1846 he was transported as an Exile on the vessel " Maitland" arr: at Port Melbourne on 10 Jan 1847...from there the trail goes cold!
I have not been able to trace his movements, so hoping someone may be able to help me. Thank You.
Looking for information re Peter McFarlane Henderson born 3 July 1882, Dundee, Scotland to Thomas Henderson & Helen Alexander.
Peter migrated to Canada and it is believed that he lived there until his death. Would like to know where he lived in Canada, did he marry, and where/when did he die?
Peter served with the Royal Scots Fusiliers from 1901 to 1909, so he must have migrated to Canada after June 1909.
My late father said he thought that his uncle Peter lived in Calgary ??

Father -? Zauch, Mother Lillian Knoblauch married 1919 Port Adelaide, South Australia.
Teresa said to have married Thomas David Henderson, believed to have had 3 children.. John Henderson, James Henderson and Maureen Henderson.
Would appreciate any information at all. Thomas David Henderson was my uncle.
