My grandparents immigrated from Ireland (Patrick was from Cork and my grandmother, was from Claire) They arrived in the U.S. around 1900 and settled in Brooklyn, N.Y. They raised about 17 children. My grandfather worked in the Brooklyn Navy Yard until his death around 1942
