I have traced my Barnett family back to Alexander Barnett b. 1754 in VA.
His father's name is unknown for sure. Family history says that they were from the Barnetts that left Scotland in the 1600s and went to N. Ireland, then to the USA (PA and VA) in early 1700s.

My gggrandfather, John I. Barnett b, 1780 married Sally Kenney.

Sally's grandfather was born 1720 in N.Ireland and named Barnett Kenney.
Since there were Barnetts also in N. Ireland in the early 1700s,
I am curious as to whether these 2 families were related back in Ireland.

The Kenney family history has the Kenneys going from England to Ireland.

I am looking for descendants of Charles Thomas Lake and Marian Barnett from De Witt Co., IL.
Charles was the son of John Jasper Lake and Susan Cottingham
Marian was the daughter of John A. Barnett and Sarah Annette Hutchin

I am researching the family of Joseph Sweet b. 1817 in Wayne Co., NY moved to Erie Co., PA then Adams Co., WI.
He married Cordelia Vandervort b. 1824 in Seneca Co., NY.

Cordelia is the daughter of David Vandervort and Electa Rix.
Jonathon Sweet from Rhode Island is possibly the father of Joseph.
