My GGGrandfather James Everett moved here to Michigan from New York about 1840 or so. As far as I know his children were all born here in Michigan which places him here before 1842. His wifes name was Polly. I have nothing on her except that she was also born in NY. Their children were Mary Everett Pifer b about 1842, Myron Everett b abt 1845?, Julia Everett Steele b Apr 22, 1845, Ellen Everett b abt Aug 1850, James Jr b about 1852, and Samuel Everett b abt 1857. Samuel is my GGandfather.

I will have to get more info, but I am helping a friend w/ a Grames surname to find out more about his ancestry. His mothers side has some names such as Klock, and Simmons. I don't know where the latter two names lived before MI but Grames came from Ohio.

The Pifer Family moved from Preston Co, Virginia (became West Virginia) to Michigan abt 1840? My GGrandfather Edwin Pifer was born here in Michigan abt 1865. I am not sure if his father Elias Pifer was b in MI or not abt 1838.
