William BURR was born c1770 and believed to be the son of John and Mary BURR of Speldhurst Kent
He married Mary SUMMERS in Strood Kent in 1793 and around 1800 took over the wheelwrights business at Upper Bush in Cuxton Kent.

Their eldest son William BURR born Tonbridge Kent in 1794 married Jemima PRICE and ran the business with his father until his father passed away in 1848.

William and Jemima's eldest surviving son William BURR born 1831 married Harriett TIESDELL and he too,followed into the family business. There is an interesting little anecdote about William and his brother Cornelius BURR in the book "Cuxton, a Kentish Village" by Derek Church
