I descend from John Cochran Holley b. abt 1828 AL. He came across the plains to CA in the early 1850s.

My second cousin recently proved through a Ydna 36/37 match at FTDNA that we connect somehow to the family of John Holley b. 1690 VA, d. 1728 NC.

Although we don't know names of parents or possible siblings for our John C. Holley, we have collected many clues from the time of his arrival in CA.

Seeking assistance or information to help us make this connection. Several family members have tested both at FTDNA and 23andMe and results are posted to gedmatch hoping to find Holley relatives.
